Confessions of an NCR TM

Guys, I know that this is your site and that I shouldn’t be posting here but I just can’t hold this in anymore. NCR hired me to be a Manager then they turned me into an SS Agent through “Fear and Intimidation” techniques that I could not even tell my Priest about at Confession.

I don’t want to be a part of this CE Genocide Policy. I am Truly Sorry

Hey Old-timer, just for your education, Unions ARE Non-profit Organizations.

They may be certified as non-profit but just ask the BA that did not get enough new people and is looking for a job if it's non-profit. They should be more correctly certified as not for profit.

To the TM seeking to confess ,
Interesting concept..
A TM going to church?? Need all the absolution you can get, right?

I found your post completely
lacking sincerity and nothing more than an intimidation tactic.

You said,
"I don’t want to be a part of this CE Genocide Policy. I am Truly Sorry"
Good to hear, now quit.
Looking forward to hearing of your resignation.
From a CE for the Union.

Former FLT folks and anyone sitting on the fence: If you are not for the union or are not sure, you really need to talk to veteran ce's about what has been happening here at NCR these last 6 or 7 years. You need to hear both sides of the story. Nobody goes to a debate and listens to only one person talk. You need to be informed. Steve from the IBEW is willing to talk or meet to anyone, anywhere, anytime - no pressure. Or talk to a CE who is for the union and ASK QUESTIONS. If you are still a "no" vote, then so be it. This is an important decision and you should be a part of it. GET INFORMED! Steve will meet with a large or small group, during lunch, after hours or on a weekend. Just call or email. steve_smith@ibew.org (978)302-3690
Steve, hope you don't mind me posting your info.

Confessions of an NCR TM – Part 2

Guys, after a long conversation with my wife, I have decided to resign my TM position.
I am willing to sign an affidavit attesting what NCR forced me to do to the CEs.
Without quality CE3s I cannot do this job and I hoped that NCR would understand this.

Good Luck & God Bless.

I received a call from our local IBEW rep today. Things are speeding up. Be prepared for an anti-union campaign from management.(you know, the ones who didnt take a paycut and still got their bonus's)Union cards will be going out soon. We need to reach out and contact every CE you know, but only on your own time and own equipment. DO NOT use company time or computers to do any union activity. We don't want to give the SOB's any reason to legally come down on any CE.

I never said to not vote for a union nor did I say to vote for a union. Just wanted to make sure you are aware of both sides of the story. I agree you are in an unfair situation. I always said no matter your leanings are MAKE SURE YOU DO VOTE, don't sit on the side lines.
To the people that were so kind to me in expessing their stupidity, typical on those with out the ability to have an intelligent conversation. Don't let them lead you stand up for yourself and vote your convictions.

Guess who is out in Southern California to do "walk throughs" at different Lowes sites? Chris Cheadle, Vice President, Americas Customer Services (ACS). Scheduled to be in Temecula and Murrietta on Thursday 2/28. Odd he's out doing such work?? CE's remember we can stand strong and united. Vote Union!

Anonymous said...

Even Wonder Why?

Rebanding vs. Elimination

85% of the CE3 population was “Rebanded” in 2005 = Little Reaction.
15% of the CE3 population was “Eliminated” in 2008 = Massive Reaction.

It’s all in the packaging.

Rebanding infers Realignment or Regrouping.
Elimination infers Extinction or Genocide!

(maybe our Resident English Major (CE Supremo) can weigh-in on this one)

NCR is probably too aloof to consider Retraction (and Apology).

Get ready for the FIREWORKS.

2008 will prove to be a Timeline YEAR!

2002 (Permonding) – 2004 (<40 Pension Freeze) – 2005 (Rebanding) – 2007 (>40 Pension Freeze) – 2008 (Union)

Ever Wonder Why?

NCR needs more Virus / SPAM / Spyware protection than the CIA!

NCR hates that CEs can visit a site that is beyond their control. Where
even Management is welcome to participate. (and they are sometimes
more disgruntled than the CEs)
This is like the old “Coffee Break” where we all got together each day
to discuss Customer & Personal problems. Millions have been spent
by NCR on ways to Segregate the Workers (Divide & Conquer). GPS
tracking, RIM Monitoring, Control Tower Taping, Site Visits, MOT, and
other “Ethical Head Games” are all tactics used by Fascists NOT
Honest Corporations!

Like Peter. Paul, & Mary sang:

When will they ever Learn?
When will they ever Learn!

Guys, I know this is not really pertinent to the US Union negotiations, but I thought I would share the latest news on the other side of the pond:

the entire European CCC, based in Amsterdam is being laid off, relocated to a cheap labor country (Hungary). These are more than 100 skilled employees who in many cases have given 10+ years of their lives to NCR.

For those sitting on the fence regarding the union, just think that YOU could be next.

The ANGER I see from all of the blogs, Now is the time that we all, thats EVERYONE to band together and get the IBEW to go to the Labor Board and let them know that WE "NCR WORKERS" want the IBEW to represent us as a whole. If you are reading this and havent been contacted by a union rep, call the IBEW or go to www.ibew.com and let them know who you are. I have contacted the local for my district and a union rep came to my house! The IBEW has to get a head count in your area so they can go to the Labor Relationd Board. Make sure all of the guys and gals in your group know about this site and whats going on. We can not let the exec's at NCR get richer and watch our pay dwindle to nothin..

Anonymous said...

I agree. You’re right. We stood around and watched you retail guys get screwed. I for one am sorry that we didn't try to get a union then to help you guys.

But I say now let’s get together and fight the real culprit. Lets get a CE3 position recreated just like unionized NY and Jersey making 30+ an hour. Let’s be union brothers and never let the company pull us apart again.

IT PAYS TO BE UNION!

Union membership brings many benefits to working people. One of the major benefits includes weekly earnings. Under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) you have the legal right to form a union in your workplace. The NLRA says:

Section 7 (U.S. Code Title 29, Chapter 7, § 157): "Employees shall have the right to self-organization, to form, join, or assist labor organizations, to bargain collectively through representatives of their own choosing, and to engage in other concerted activities for the purpose of collective bargaining ....."

Section 7 gives you the right to:

Attend meetings to discuss joining a union.

Read, distribute, and discuss union literature (as long as you do this in non-work area during non-work times, such as during breaks or lunch hours.)

Wear union buttons, T-shirts, stickers, hats, or other items on the job (providing you can wear non-union related items. The company cannot discriminate because it relates to union.)

Section 8(a)(U.S. Code Title 29, Chapter 7, § 158a): "It shall be an unfair labor practice for an employer .... to interfere with, restrain, or coerce employees in the exercise of the rights guaranteed in Section 7 of this title...."

Section 8(a) makes it illegal for the Company to:

Threaten to or actually fire, lay off, discipline, harass, transfer, or reassign employees because they support the union.

Favor employees who don't support the union over those who do in promotions, job assignments, wages, hours, enforcement of rules, or any other working condition.

Shut down the worksite or take away any benefits or privileges employees already enjoy in order to discourage union activity.

Promise employees a pay increase, promotion, benefits, or special favors if they oppose the union.
What this means to employees

It means that employees are supposed to have a FREE CHOICE in deciding whether or not they want to use their right to organize. Anything that an employer does to interfere with this free choice is against the law.

It means that employers who get 'nose trouble' during an organizing campaign are breaking the law. An employer is not supposed to question employees, or even to find out, about how employees feel, who signed cards, which employees are pushing the union, who attended meetings, what went on at meetings, etc. It is none of their business.

It means that an employer is not supposed to make any promises of raises, promotions, or other benefits in order to influence employees in the exercise of their rights.

It means that an employer cannot take away, or threaten to take away, any benefits which you already have because of your union activity.

It means that it is illegal for an employer to penalize an employee in any manner because of his union activity or belief. This includes such things as cutting out overtime, transferring to a less desirable job, suspension or discharge.
While we have rights under the law, laws are only good if they are enforced. Companies frequently get away with breaking the law during elections. That's why it is important to work with an IBEW representative to make sure rights are protected.

Why didn’t NCR personally evaluate each CE3’s new value during their PA?
This would have allowed NCR to practice their beloved policy of “Rewarding
Superior Performances” Instead, they did what all unions would have done
and implemented an ATB (Across The Board) reduction.

The “Brown-noses” got SLAMMED to the same CE2 salary as the “Screw-ups”
This makes it easy for the Union to now raise all salaries to a new Top Pay
Without pissing off the “Brown-noses” - Thanks, NCR

NCR’s “ Evaluation Tools” of PA, Utilization, Bandwidth, Calls / Day, and
Six Initiatives are all HORSE-SHIT!

Hey, I just got this from yahoo.

The following table presents Customer Services revenue and operating income for the years ended December 31:

Customer Services 2007 2006 2005
In millions
Revenue $ 1,943 $ 1,824 $ 1,838
Operating income $ 134 $ 96 $ 50
Operating income as a percent of revenue 7 % 5 % 3 %

Customer Services revenue increased 7% in 2007 compared to 2006. Foreign currency fluctuations provided 3% of benefit to the year-over-year revenue comparison. Revenue from the maintenance of Financial Self Service products increased 12%, and revenue from the maintenance of Retail Store Automation products increased 6% in 2007 compared to 2006. This increase was offset slightly as we selectively exited agreements to service lower-margin third-party products. Revenue from installation-related services increased due to the higher volumes of transactions in all geographic markets. Operating income improved by $38 million in 2007 due to higher revenue and structural changes to the Customer Services business to optimize the efficiency of resources, as well as to increase the focus on maintenance of NCR-branded products.

Customer Services revenue decreased 1% in 2006 compared to 2005. Foreign currency fluctuations provided less than 1% of benefit to the year-over-year revenue comparison. Revenue from the maintenance of Financial Self Service products increased 10%, and revenue from maintenance of Retail Store Automation products increased 3% in 2006 compared to 2005. However, overall revenues decreased as we selectively exited agreements to service lower-margin, third-party products. Installation-related services also decreased due to transactions in the prior period that did not recur, increased product revenue from indirect channels (which does not lead to installation revenue for NCR), and a decline in upgrade-related activity from the prior year. NCR's strategic shift and structural changes made in the Customer Services business to optimize . . .

What happened in Australia:
NCR technicians get pay increase
Computerworld Staff 07/04/2006 13:41:46

NCR has completed negotiations with the Australian Services Union (ASU), with all NCR customer engineers receiving a pay rise of 3 percent.

Last month, NCR field service engineers walked off the job in New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland seeking a better pay deal.

The ASU claimed 90 of a total 150 NCR employees had taken strike action. NCR claims only 50 employees were involved.

The current Enterprise Agreement met ASU pay, allowances and rostering requirements.

NCR will lodge the agreement with the Office of the Employment Advocate (OEA) within the next 14 days. As a result of this agreement, all negotiations have been finalized.

ASU executive president Sally McManus said the NCR field service engineers now consider they have a good relationship with their employer after fighting for 15 years to get a new Enterprise Agreement.

Of the employee, "98 percent voted yes for the enterprise agreement," McManus said. " They were offered rostered days off and had their issues with car allowances and petrol sorted out. In fact the technicians got everything they wanted."

Go Union!

To the CE's who are asking themselves,"What's a union going to do for me?"

Unions work to accomplish things not for just YOU, but for US as a whole united group of employees.

But,there needs to be an organized and unified "US" to negotiate for.

If we can set aside our own self seeking interests for a minute, and try to imagine the possibilities: read here what a union did for our fellow employees in Australia. Easy to see why Chris Cheadle came running to the USA.

http://www.computerworld.com.au/index.php/id;1203181778
http://www.asu.asn.au/media/infotech_ncr/20060311_ncreba.html

You can also see how what tactics NCR will try to keep out the union.

NCR wants you to believe they don't need the CE's.
Sorry, WRONG.
What NCR does need is to keep us in the dark, separate from each other and non-union.

Make a difference, not just now but in the future...

Fifteen years ago, (AT&T era) the CWA "tried" to organize your area (they lost)

Today, the IBEW is "trying" to organize your area (Who will be REAL Losers?)

The Whole NCR World is WATCHING!

If individuals could comprise a Bargaining Unit, you would be in a Union NOW. You need at least 51% of the New England Workers to win an election.
You better get at least 75% of the workers signed-up before you even attempt filing with the NLRB.

YES, YOU, the WORKERS, need to do the Organizing.
What are you doing on your PC?

Rather than sending out "Old Lists of Workers" (most took ERP II) did you (and your co-workers) support this Legislation for easier Union Organization?

Being a Union Member is TOUGH!
Nice to see your Region is finally SERIOUS!

High Point for Card-Check Legislation?
The House passed a bill that would make it easier for workers to unionize. But the legislation has uncertain prospects in the Senate, and the Bush administration has formally announced that the president will veto the bill if it reaches his desk.

High Point for Card-Check Legislation?
Legislation that would facilitate unionization passed the House of Representatives on Thursday, March 1. But that may be the measure’s high point, with uncertain Senate prospects and a veto threat from President Bush looming ahead.
The House approved the bill 241-185, with 13 Republicans joining 228 Democrats in supporting the measure, which would permit a union to be formed if a majority of workers sign authorization cards.
Under current law, a company can accept a so-called card-check election or force a secret ballot vote supervised by the National Labor Relations Board.
In addition, the bill would allow a company or a union to refer a first contract dispute to mediation after 90 days and to binding arbitration after 30 days of mediation. It would impose fines up to $20,000 on companies that discriminate against workers during organizing campaigns and force them to pay treble back wages.
The House defeated GOP amendments to allow employees to put themselves on union “do not call” lists and to mandate that elections occur only through secret balloting.
Advocates for the bill argue that it would allow employees to freely form unions without coercion from employers.
“It’s ending intimidation of hardworking Americans … when they simply say, ‘I want a union,’ ” Rep. George Miller, D-California and chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee, said in a press briefing after the vote.
Opponents assert that the measure would subject workers to pressure from unions, who they say have championed the bill as a means to boost their declining numbers.
Earlier in the week, the Bush administration formally announced that the president would veto the bill if it reached his desk.
“The administration opposes any effort to circumvent supervised elections and private balloting,” a policy statement says. “It is a fundamental tenet of democracy that individuals are able to vote their conscience, free from the threat of reprisal.”
Before getting to the president, the bill has to survive the Senate, where it needs 60 votes to avoid a filibuster. A similar bill garnered 45 Senate co-sponsors in the last Congress.
On Thursday, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, made ominous overtures about the House bill. “I can assure you that it will meet a different fate when it gets to the Senate,” he said in a speech.
Miller says that the bill is building momentum that will help it in the Senate because proponents are tasting victory that was impossible during Republican control of Congress.
He and other Democrats cite the unionization measure, along with an increase in the minimum wage, as evidence of their support for the middle class, which has seen pensions disappear and health care costs escalate despite big corporate profits.
“We’re here to make the economy fairer,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, said in the post-vote press conference.
Republicans, however, say Democrats are motivated by politics. They accuse them of promoting the bill as a payback to unions for their support during the 2006 election, when Democrats took control of the House and Senate. Labor contributed $56.7 million to Democratic candidates, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
“It’s almost beyond my imagination that this bill is on the floor of the House of Representatives taking away the secret ballot election,” said House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, during the floor debate. “It’s about upsetting the balance between workers and management. This is an effort to help [unions] get more members.”
The business lobby is putting up a fierce fight against the bill. A U.S. Chamber of Commerce grass-roots campaign has resulted in 40,000 individual contacts with Capitol Hill offices and involves targeted radio ads in many congressional districts.
Some companies, however, have allowed their employees to form unions through the card-check process. Cingular says that doing so has helped it increase employee engagement and improve customer relations.
Miller says that easing unionization establishes a cooperative atmosphere in the workplace “rather than two armed camps.”
“This has exciting potential for forward-thinking, forward-leaning companies,” he says.

Senate blocks 'card check' bill

Falls short of 60 votes needed for further action

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- Business groups claimed victory Tuesday as the Senate blocked legislation designed to make it easier to organize workers by requiring companies to recognize unions whenever a majority of employees sign authorization cards.
The Senate voted 51-48 on a procedural motion that would have allowed the Employee Free Choice Act to move forward, falling nine short of the required 60-vote supermajority.
The legislation had sparked a furious lobbying battle between organized labor, which had hoped to capitalize on the Democratic majorities won in both the House and Senate last November, and business groups.
Business groups charged the legislation would allow unions to intimidate workers into signing cards, stripping them of the protections of a secret ballot.
"This legislation was a power grab with complete disregard for the rights of individual workers and private employers," said John Engler, president of the National Association of Manufacturers.
Advocates of the "card-check" proposal, said the change would have prevented employers from using the pre-election process to illegally fire or harass pro-union employees and to threaten and browbeat other employees in a bid to defeat union authorization.
"This bill should become law so that workers have a truly free and fair election process to decide if they want representation in the workplace," said Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa.
The House voted 241-185 to pass the bill earlier this year. But the Democrats' narrow 51-49 majority in the Senate had led backers to acknowledge that victory would be tough to achieve in the current Congress. President Bush had threatened to veto the legislation if it made it to his desk.
In order to clear the Senate, Democrats were hoping for the support of several moderate Republicans. In the end, Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania was the only Republican to join 48 Democrats and two independents in voting to proceed. See how they voted.
Not the last word
AFL-CIO President John Sweeney said the majority vote, while short of the needed supermajority, remained an encouraging sign.
"That is a watershed achievement -- one scarcely imagined just a couple of years ago -- and an important step toward shoring up our nation's struggling middle class," Sweeney said.
Opponents said they expected to face the issue again.
"Big Labor bosses and their allies in Congress have made it clear that they have each other to thank for their newfound strength on Capitol Hill, and I have no doubt that card check will remain a top priority on each of their legislative agendas," said Rep. Howard "Buck" McKeon of California, the senior Republican on the House Education and Labor Committee.
"As we did this time around, Republicans are prepared to fight them every step of the way," McKeon said.
Under current law, the National Labor Relations Board requires employers to hold secret-ballot elections if 30% of workers sign cards calling for union representation. In some cases, unions and employers can agree to hold an election via the card-check process.
The legislation also requires federal mediators to step in when unions and companies can't agree on a contract after a union is recognized.
Union leaders say the bill could help turn around a long-running decline in union membership. Union members make up just more than 7% of workers in private businesses, down from more than 35% in the mid-1950s.
Business groups charged that the legislation could undermine the competitiveness of U.S. firms.

I am one of the 500+ ce 3's who got their pay cut, and would certainly be interested in CA lawsuit. If those invloved would be united on this, we would win. I'm not saying we could retire on what we win, or if we would "win" anything,(though we probably would) but it would certainly make NCR think. All this pay cut did (asside from turning 500+ ce's lives upside down) was allow Nuti's annual bounus to go from 1.55 mil. to 1.6. Must be nice. A drop in the bucket to screw the "man on the street", the "face of the company" Those are Cheadle's own words!! Yeah, that was a real smart move Chris (Cheadle) (and Bill) Lets screw over the face of the company, and then expect top notch customer service! I don't know about the rest of you, but this is no longer a career for me....it's just a job. And that's how I'll treat it.

30% Less said...

Amen, it is now just a job. All of our expertise isn't that important to this company any more. They have effectively turned us into just more warm bodies to throw at the problem. I for one am giving NCR what they are paying for, as we all should be doing. It is hard at first not to replace the gears and re-time that pick module, I just replace it now. There is lots of thing I did a few weeks ago to save NCR money and get the customer up faster that I have stopped doing now. If they want to pay us less we should be happy to give them less.
Let NCR know, they get what they pay for. Five hundred CE's using more parts, suspending more calls, running fewer calls, flying more parts in and dragging out the overtime. Show this company just what Cheat-le's new program can do to save money and increase profitability.

Anonymous said...

so your logic is to punish the customer because you are unhappy. take a moment to so something you haven't done... think your idea all the way through. punish your customers and they will not renew their service agreements. no renewals leads to less income. less income and fewer customers equals what? pay the ce more? get real. many of you were hired because you had the ability to think. there are ways to get things done but bringing the customers into the fray is not one of them. you're proving the ignorant and simple minded theory.

for those of you willing to think - step back and see what's happening here. The workforce is being split between those for and those against a union. This is what life is like with a union - a fractured workforce with friction, anger and resentment. NCR is still a really good company (not perferct but a great place to work). A union will absolutley detroy what we have with their divide and conquer attitude. If you hate the company that much, please go to work someplace else to spread your venom. Don't destroy my employer.

can someone explain why the IBEW is now advertising on TV in Boston? I suspect the answer is the same reason any company advertises to increase their business when they need more revenue. If the union gets all thier revenue from dues it looks like the push to organize us is for their own personal gain. Don't be snookered by these phonies.

Gentlemen...Don't be drawn in by a few that are probably being paid by the enemy. The decision to join a union is one of the toughest choices you will need to make in your career. But remember that we did not just pull this out of thin air. Our employer is pushing us in that direction. I have been a part of a union my entire life, weather it was part of NCR or as a laboror working my way through tech school. I have never hid behind a union label. I have always did more than was expected of me by my manager. I have never ever played the union card with my any of my bosses because they treated me with respect, and you can bet that was because I was in the union. I guess they knew that if they played unfairly, it would bring the union in. What I am trying to say is that its just business as usual for most of us, and the union will be there for you when needed. You will sleep better at night.

Step Back and Look>>>>>
I need to come and work in your area if it is a great place to work. I remember when.... it used to be a good place and there used to be a future. Seems many moons have passed since that was the case. You must be new. The door is slammed shut as far as raises are concerned. Lets be serious, 1 to 2% a year for the last 5 years while medical and the cost of living have skyrocketed. Hasn't been a great place to work IN A PRETTY LONG WHILE. I suggest you ask some of the "old timers" how great it is, and how long it will be until your in their shoes.

Your message is spot on. For those who have never been in a union then clearly understand one thing, YOU will be the union. YOU will decide on your direction. The union does not direct, control, or own you in any way shape or form. You could say it is a true democrocy where you elect the officials and as a group decide upon your direction. The difference comes in the fact you are organized with your co-workers and they manage that organization and communication for you. The union will negotiate what YOU want and help you decide what the market will bare and what is fair for ALL... and yes this includeds the companies needs as well.

Once set of rules to follow, no constant change
One voice - YOUR voice
One negotiator - YOUR negotiator
YOU get a vote

Do you have a vote in anything the company does now?

Don't pass this opportunity. Vote union. Vote your future.

If anyone is hurting the customers, it is Cheat-le and Nutty. They have fired the first shot, net the CE's. Are we supposed to just lay back and take it, smile and say thank you boss. They do not care what we think, but they do care what the customer thinks. We told them that it would never work when retail went to Permond, they didn't listen. They did listen when the customer told them over and over again that they did not like being serviced by two companies when they were paying for NCR service. By moving the FLT folks over and eliminating the CE3's the have effectively just moved us all to FLT and renamed it NCR. Now they can tell the customers there is no longer two companies only NCR. But we are all getting paid within the FLT pay structure. I have worked my ass off for NCR for thirty years. I have always gone above and beyond for my customers and NCR. I deserved everything I was being paid as a CE3 and more and there are 499 other guys out there just like me. Call it what you will but none of this was my decision. It is apparent that NCR no longer wants to pay for CE3 quality people, they have told us this to our faces and cut our pay. In fact, where else could you work for thirty years and be making only five dollars more an hour than an new hire. Thats fine, I'm just giving them want. 30% less for 30% less.

just call me a man of the company

Sounds like 30 % less has hit the nail on the head. Take it from the people who have been here a while. If we do not get a union in here, NCR will be a job....not a career. It will be a revolving door of young 20-somethings who will work for 15 dollars per hour, and then move on when they realize that NCR is NOT a career. It's just a stepping stone. It used to be a GREAT career. Not anymore. It seems to me that the line between those for, and those against the Union are those that either have, or have not had their lives turned upside down by having their pay, their livlyhood, and their very way of life cut by this selfish machine of a coorporation that at one time used to be a great place to work. Those of you against it for that reason....just wait. Your time will come when you look back and WISH you had voted for the Union. There will be no end to the cooporate greed. Now it's pay. Tomorrow it's vacations cut out. Next year....who knows what clever ideas are coming down the pipe from people who are hired JUST for the reason of coming up with ways to screw us. The union is the only answer.
I once again reiterate the fact that they are doing this to the "face of the company". It's laughable really.
As "30% less" said earlier.....don't worry about setting timing on those pick mods. Don't worry about reparing those machines in the most cost effective way possible. Just module swap. That's all we're getting paid for now. (I wonder how much more that will cost NCR that the actual pay cuts....Hmmmmmmm)

This company makes me sick! I have been a 30 year loyal ce who has done everything asked of me and a whole lot more! My family has suffered many times because of this place and now the worst thing I thought has come to pass. I remember when this company truly cared about its employees and families. Remember when the managers knew your wifes name..your kids name...HELL my manager would come and visit me at my home and have dinner! What the hell has happened to this once great company? These other guys have it right....Its just a job! This place is nothing but a shithole and we are being flushed down the drain! Lets all stick together and stop this madness! GO UNION!!!!!!!

To the CE's who are filing an age discrimination lawsuit, please post your lawyers address so the rest of us can contact them also. But more importantly, lets stay focused on the union. I am been contacted now, as have a few others in my area, by the IBEW. This will take awhile, but I believe in the long run, will be well worth it. Even the younger guys with new families are now seeing how fast the company can ruin their lives by cutting pay and benefits for no reason. I think our pisspoor leadership team will be surprised at how many guys with less than 4 years are all for a union. I guess we all aren't as dumb as the trained monkeys they think we are.

NCR leadership is so stupid they won't believe the Union movement, until it's voted in!

I agree with all that say we need a UNION.. The company has proven time and agin that all they care about is their pockets. I am a CE2, but not blind to what the company is doing. Today the CE3's tomorrow the rest of us. I know there is nothing to be done for the decicions already made, but there is something we can do for the.. no.. OUR future together. VOTE THE UNION IN NOW!!!!!!!!

take a step back: we are a fractured workforce, between those who are willing to accept any treatment good or bad from the company and those who want to stand together and demand fairness. We don't hate NCR or our jobs what we hate is seeing the company posting good earnings and excutives getting paid in the millions made possible by our efforts and our reward; pay cuts and longer and longer work days.WE will win this struggle because corporate greed ends here!Join us now or join us later either way we are in this together.

It looks like Diebold is about to get taken over. All the union big wigs better hurry up and get over there to pounce on that opportunity. LOL

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601103&sid=aUnwnjBME6Uk&refer=us

I was thinking a union was a good thing until I see half of the postings on this blog. Coming on the internet and calling anyone with a different opinion every profanity in the books doesn't exactly help your guy's cause.

It really shows the character of "some" of the people who work for this company. I know its not the majority but a union creates an environment where the least productive workers get compensated as well as the productive people. Oh wait, NCR created that same atmosphere by cutting productive CE3's back to CE2's. LOL

I guess I dislike big business as much as I dislike big labor. The only thing worse is big government.

Commence with your flame wars, calling me a cocksucker or whatever makes you feel better. LOL

all of you guys who are humping a union are morons. most of you have been at NCR so long you have no perspective on what the rest of the companies are doing to stay alive and be competitive. All this nonsense about executives making big bucks is childish. senior execs make big bucks in every company on the planet and for you to suggest NCR is cruel and unusual is beyond ridiculous. NCR is no different than any other company. you guys need to pull your head out of your asses and stop following an amateur sales pitch by a union.

I'm trying really hard not to use profanity but i just can't help my self, so here goes. Hey, RTSS "PROMOTED", have you seen managements newest little BITCH? Just look in a mirror. LOL!! LOL!!

It is amazing what a .40 or.50 cent an hour raise can do for some guys ego. You were most likely in the same boat as the rest of us. Maxed out as a CE3 with no real raise in several years. But with OT an AV you were still doing pretty well. Now you are salaried and can't make anything more for all they extra time you will be putting in helping the poor CE2's. What a slap in the face you took for that job. Better you than me. Oh, I forgot. LOL!!

Now that you are a member of management you are eligible for strike duty, did you know that? Now if we go on strike some where they won't have to send the untrained TM's. They will send their new Anti Strike Squad. I just like to call you guys the "ASS". LOL !!

Put your head in the sand and maybe they won't see you. Remember when your head is in the sand your bottom is in the air! Not smart. Track record says you will feel a little pressure/it only hurts a little right?

Not much of a choice. What are we waiting for? Make the call! Lets have a voice/choice!!! Strength in numbers!

To the guy said " NCR has to do it to stay alive".
It means you are willing to accept the 30% cut of you salary to SAVE the NCR?? I am very doubt you are one of CE3 at all. or you may be the new selected RTSS. I could not image any person who faces the 30% of paycut can think the way you do. Do not sell out your soul and betray your co-workers.
And to the LOL : I think you are now of of the RTSS too if you are not a manager. You do not have the NEED to have union, but it does not mean the rest of us do not need a Union. You are a very very selfish and cruel person. I think most new RTSS only feel lucky and have deep sympathy to the rest CE3 who suffer the paycut.

Hey RTSS PROMOTED... You make it sound like it a fact of life when a company takes the steps that NCR did. I can understand if NCR was failing to make money. But if the company has shown a profit for a couple of years and do what NCR has done, well shame on them. You get to keep your paycheck. For you its a no brainer, Right? Everyone else is a belly acher. Right? Its easy for you to sit at your computer and type the words you do. The fact of the matter is we all have children to cloth, put through school, and make better when they get sick. Lets not forget a roof over their head and feed. The price of gas is going thru the ceiling, home heating, and electric. Did I forget anything? Probably. But remember this that we were first. You are next! If the union gets voted in, the company will have to revamp the managers and rtss payscale. And if there is a strike, well you better pray that you don't have to run calls in a place far from home for the lousy pay the give you. By the way you are probably still running service calls like the rest of us. So much for a promotion. And if history were to repeat itself, you will be on the chopping block soon. And don't come to that same union that you disrespect now. How do you sleep at night. Wait, I forgot to write something that you stated while your were on your soap box... My FOUL MOUTH...YOURE AN ASSHOLE...

Anonymous said...

You guys do know why "promoted" is in quotes dont you? Its because I will actually make less money than a CE3 who was demoted to CE2.

I'm not on my high horse about anything. I will be doing the same job I was doing before but at about $25,000 less a year because I'm now on salary.

I work the same hours as I did before, still do regular break fix work, along with installs. But i'm getting on my high horse thinking i'm better than everyone right?

Like I said, I'm not particularly against the union. I just happen to trust a union as much as I trust big government and big business.

Your truly damned if you do and damned if you dont.

30% less,
Here's an idea, how about trying to convince people to join the union instead of giving me reasons why I shouldnt try and join. You tell me I'm going to be forced to cross the picket line to work when all you guys decide you want to go on strike. How does that make me want to vote for a union? Oh I forgot, its not supposed to make me want a union, its supposed to paint a picture of me as an ahole so you can stir up enough hate amongst co workers so they vote for a union without even thinking it through.

Thats really what its about isn't it? Stirring the pot to bring the feelings of anger and resentment to the highest level possible to get a union yes vote without the CE population thinking it over before voting.

When I was first rebanded I would have voted for a union, because I was pissed off.

In all seriousness though, if you guys want a union vote to succeed, the longer you wait the harder it will be. Get a vote asap, because the anger at management die's down just a little everyday.

I'll give you that little bit of advice because I don't have any ill feelings against you guys. If you truly want a union then make it happen. Your time will run out if you dont make it happen soon.

If calling someone an asshole makes you feel more like a man then go right ahead. It simply shows what type of spirit is in your heart.

And yet another slap in my face. Now they wont approve a simple tuition reimbursement. No money for it this year. They dont know about next. We are all now stuck in a dead end job, and they wont even give us a benefit we were told we had when we were hired to better ourselves. Even if we wanted to move up we cant because we dont make enough money to pay for tuition and they wont give us a benefit we were promised when hired and you need a degree to move anywhere.

So when is this going to take place, when do we get to vote?? I have had just about as much of this crap as I can take. We work our asses off for this company, on call all the time, working awful hours with nothing to show for it, our benefits dwindling. We need this union and fast before they take everything away from us and make us all teir 1 CEs and cut the pay again.

YOU'LL GET TO VOTE WHEN-
There are still many CE's in the New England region who need to send in there UNION CARDS. There can't be a VOTE until the IBEW receives Cards from a majority, (two thirds), of the New England Employee's. The same is true for the rest of the country. So get your co-workers to send them in, then we can VOTE!!!

We have yet to get any cards. I sent emails during the online chat and have heard nothing. Nobody in this area has gotten a card, nobody in our area has gotten any info at all, so how can we get it in? I am going to try to call Steve Smith in the morning.

Getting the Union Going will take time. It took a year in Philadelphia. Then they transferred most of us out of the Union and into NCR. We lost our Geographical differential on that move also. NCR will not accept this without a fight. They will have anti Union meetings, they will lie to you by not disclosing all the facts. They will use intimidation by TM's and higher. They will try to turn us on each other. We believe they even had certain CE's followed. It will not be easy but we who were in FLT did it once in Philly with NO help from regular NCR Ce's. They will use scare tactics about loosing your job ect. All in all I believe this must go forward. I also believe we will win in the end.

To the new NCR transfers your pay increased up. But forget about every making good money, with good benefits at NCR. Why settle for less. You can get good raises and benefits with UNION. Unless NUTTI folded the service dept to increase his BONUS. All he cares about is to make as much money as he can. Why can he make good money and you don't want to? We know we not going to get are money back. But we want to stop the cuts for a 3 to 4 year period with a contract with NCR. NUTTI HAS A CONTRACT. Why can't we have one too? None of the upper people would every work without a contract. They are protecting there interest. So it is time for all of us to protect are interest.

Teradata CEO received $6.6M in 2007
March 03, 2008: 07:35 PM EST

NEW YORK (AP) - The chief executive of Teradata Corp. (NYSE:TDC) received $6.6 million in total compensation from the data warehousing company and its former parent in 2007, according to a proxy statement filed Monday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

According to an analysis of the Teradata's first such filing as a standalone company, Michael Koehler was granted a salary of $538,288 and a performance-based bonus of $451,502.

He received all other compensation of $39,046, including $12,000 for financial planning services, $10,867 for retirement plan contributions and $9,700 for legal fees related to his offer letter. He also received up to $5,000 for medical diagnostic services and $1,479 for life insurance.

In addition, he received stock and option awards the company valued at $5.5 million on the day they were granted.

The AP's total pay calculations include executives' salary, bonus, incentives, perks, above-market returns on deferred compensation and the estimated value of stock options and awards granted during the year. The calculations don't include changes in the present value of pension benefits, and they sometimes differ from the totals companies list in the summary compensation table of proxy statements filed with the SEC.

Teradata listed Koehler's base salary as $500,000 before the spinoff and $700,000 after the spinoff. It also boosted the amount by which he was eligible for performance incentives.

Hmmmmmmm...who dose this sound like??????A MODERN PARABLE . .

A Japanese company ( Toyota ) and an American company (Ford) decided to have a canoe race on the Missouri River. Both teams practiced long and hard to reach their peak performance before the race.

On the big day, the Japanese won by a mile.

The Americans, very discouraged and depressed, decided to investigate the reason for the crushing defeat. A management team made up of senior management was formed to investigate and recommend appropriate action.

Their conclusion was the Japanese had 8 people rowing and 1 person steering, while the American team had 8 people steering and 1 person rowing.

Feeling a deeper study was in order, American management hired a consulting company and paid them a large amount of money for a second opinion.

They advised, of course, that too many people were steering the boat, while not enough people were rowing.

Not sure of how to utilize that information, but wanting to prevent another loss to the Japanese, the rowing team's management structure was totally reorganized to 4 steering supervisors, 3 area steering superintendents, and 1 assistant superintendent steering manager.

They also implemented a new performance system that would give the 1 person rowing the boat greater incentive to work harder. It was called the 'Rowing Team Quality First Program,' with meetings, dinners, and free pens for the rower. There was discussion of getting new paddles, canoes, and other equipment, extra vacation days for practices and bonuses.

The next year the Japanese won by two miles.

Humiliated, the American management laid off the rower for poor performance, halted development of a new canoe, sold the paddles, and canceled all capital investments for new equipment. The money saved was distributed to the Senior Executives as bonuses and the next year's racing team was out-sourced to India.

Sadly, The End.

Here's something else to think about:
Ford has spent the last thirty years moving all its factories out of the US, claiming they can't make money paying American wages.

TOYOTA has spent the last thirty years building more than a dozen plants inside the US. The last quarter's results:

TOYOTA makes 4 billion in profits while Ford racked up 9 billion in losses.

Ford folks are still scratching their heads.

IF THIS WEREN'T TRUE, IT MIGHT BE FUNNY.

This could very well be the management at a number of companies, of course when our CEO's going to learn that they can not dictate to the customer, they have to please the customer!!!!!! DeleteReplyForwardSpamMove...

It has nothing to do with the Union, it is called corporate greed. We did good here but the bonuses stink. It is just another way for this company to manipulate the numbers and keep money out of our hands. What we all really need are real raises to our hourly wages not some stinking bonuses. We all need the Union so we can get some real pay raises not some hoc us Pock US bonus.

Remember Cheatus said the customer didn't like dealing with two company's for their service. Here is what they really did to fix the problem. Of course they didn't want to loose the cheap labor force at FLT, so they cut the CE3's to CE2's and moved all the NCR CE's to FLT and renamed it The New NCR. Now we are all under the FLT pay structure with their very limited hopes of advancement. Everyone knows about the turn over that FLT had , That was a big part of the problem there and that is going to be a big problem with The New NCR once the bridge money goes away.

Anonymous said...

i have news for you. The customer dosent like dealing with 2 companies nor do they like dealing with people that dont know what they are doing and cant fix anything! If NCR thinks that this stupid move is going to put more focus on the customer well they are RIGHT! It has .....a huge negative impact. The company thinks they can treat there customers like idiots the way they do there employees and that everyone will look the other way. You are saddly mistaken CHEAT-ALL. You will come to see that people are smarter than you think! You are just a hatchet man anyway and you will be gone with OUR money when you are finished with what you were put in place to do. If I may make a suggestion or reiterate one made earlier, for those who are in favor of a union, keep your posts positive, factual, and to the point. Portray a positive image which is what the union will bring. Getting upset due to someone with a different opinion will not help. If you want to do something go out and talk to your fellow CE's. Convince the guy's on the fence that this is a good thing and the positives the union will bring. If necessary then put them in touch directly with the union rep. The same way you went the extra mile for NCR the past years, do the same for your fellow CE’s. For the FLT guys, maybe a history lesson will be in order. Those who are senior can speak to the facts of the past. Show them the ill ways you have been treated and how this does not stop. Show them the history of the company pertaining to cuts and false positives.
The point is the more people you bring in the faster this will go. Be a mouth piece but do it constructively. NCR loves people flying off the handle on a blog so they point and say "that is typical of a union, always bad mouthing". Prove them wrong.

YOU will be the union
YOU will have a say
YOU decide the direction

Again, just my advice, take it as you will.

Good luck..

Why is it when a union guy speaks up you state its typical union talk and when a anti-union guy speaks up its all good. I can't figure it out. Well i'm not in a union, but I sure wish I was. Back in the day when things were good around here, I didn't want a union but now I really think we do. So lets all just calm down and get with the program. Let bot blame the union about your bonus. Remember that same people that cut our pay by 25% are the same people that signed the bonus check. What else did you expect. And the company won't stop with the pay and bonus. They will continue with time off and vacation. Medical and benefit. And don't be suprised if they fold in what ever monies are frozen in the pension fund into there bottom line. I can't risk it anymore. I made the mistake the first time around and won't make that same mistake again. I can't understand how you guys can sit there and blame the men in the union for all our troubles. It wrong and I thought it needed to be said. Besides you state that union guys do not act like gentlemen, well you have just insulted my Father, Uncle and Grandfather. I won't stand for it. Stop with the blanket statements. You sound like my TM. And he is the reason why I am here. Not all TM's are like mine but I am sure there are many more who are.

mnypitgarage said...

And you forgot to mention that even those that are not all that pro union are getting screwed too. I figured I would make the best of a bad situation and try to better myself by getting my degree and moving up. My application for tuition reimbursement was declined, no money in the budget for 2008. I cant afford it on my pay here, so its either union help or I am going to have to move on to a company that values its employees and helps them out when they try to better themselves.

Trust me on this, I have always been anti Union, but NCR has convinced me otherwise. I always thought that hard work was all that was needed for success, but I was sadly mistaken. All hard work does here is assure that no extra help will be hired and you will have to work harder next week.

My family and health are suffering and if something doesnt change quick I will have to look someplace else. I refuse to lose my health and family to NCR.

Anonymous said...

We all need to stay positive and keep this movement going forward. Talk to your fellow CE's, the more info they have the better. some still seem to be in the dark or indifferent to what is going on at NCR.

May be we should all slow down a little. NCR has hit us in our take home pay I'm sure we could make a difference in their profits. Order more parts. I'm sure you could all use a new tool bag or screw drivers or another case of air. Stop charging the customers, I think they are all being over charged for service now, stay customer focused.
It is all the little things we do that can make a big difference. If costs go up in the first few quarters maybe they will rethink the New NCR.

If they want to change thing then so can we. Let's keep the Union movement going forward. Make a difference.

You are clearly opposed to the union. This is your opinion and you are entitled to your opinion but you do not back it up with substantial facts. The point you are trying to make is that union people are brutes across the board. A few people are passionate and let their feelings flow on the blog but can you blame them when pay and benefit cuts of this magnitude have occurred?
I respect your right to disagree but I would also ask that you respect the right of these people to assemble and unite. You might want to rethink your position but that is your decision… no different than some of these folks who have decided the union is the way to go. You have the right to vote no and they have the right to vote yes. This kind of sounds like it is a democracy doesn’t it? Interesting…
Disagree but use facts if you have any. I personally support the CE’s in their effort to unionize. I believe the CE’s deserve better then a huge pay cut, reduction in benefits, intolerable working conditions, and unobtainable goals tied to their bonus money. All these points are substantiated and documented facts.

You all have a great weekend.

Our Bull of the Day recommendation is for NCR Corp. (NYSE: NCR: 22.65, -0.41, -1.77%). Following several years of stagnant revenue growth, NCR Corporation has begun to post gains in its Financial Self-Service segment, its largest division. We are encouraged that the company is now posting earnings growth through improved top-line growth, which we believe is sustainable for the foreseeable future as its customers seek to cut costs through increased automation. NCR's Retail division is also showing strength with its new product line in 2008. As a result, we maintain our Buy rating on NCR shares with a six-month price target of $32.00

To all of you guys who are anti-union: If you hate the union so bad, why do you come to this site and post. This site was set up to organize those who want a union, who need a union, and have been screwed over enough by this company. We have watched our leadership make big bonus's and perks, at our expense. If you dont want a union, thats your choice, but dont come here, hoping to change anyones mind against a union. We may not get back anything we lost, but if we do nothing, we will just continue to lose, all at the company's whim. I think most of the anti-union guys are newbies, who haven't seen firsthand what the company has done to its CE's. YOUR TIM,E WILL COME, unless we do something to stop it. With leaders like Nuti and Cheat-le, there wont be much of a company left.

To the guy who says the union cannot do anything,
Consider the facts:
The New York area has been with the union for over 20 years. The last time NCR disbanded second line CE nationwide, non-union areas could only maintain 15% of all CE as CE3. But compared to the NY area, every second line CE became CE3 (about 70% of all CE).
Don't spread lies. Without the union, we would be beaten down as non-union area.
Go Union.

Explain loosing more then you gain, sure. Lost over eight dollars an hour in anual earnings not to mention overtime. Or to put it in terms everyone can undestand, lost 21,920.00 . Thats what I won't be getting this year that I got last year for wages and OT. Gains for 2008, Bonus = 2,500.00, PA raise = 0. Yep, looks like I lost more than I gained.

There will be one gain this year. Voteing the Union in, priceless.

At least you got a$2500 bonus. I got a little over $400, even though my personal numbers were outstanding. I had 28 hours ot last pay period, and brought home $26 dollars LESS than I did with 7 hours ot last year. So NCR just cost me 21 hours of my life, just so Nuti and Cheat-le can have their bonus's and jets. Vote Union, or its just going to get worse.

Oh Yeah smart ass, that loss was due to the company..Not the UNION...If we had a union, this would not had happen. IF YOU HAD A UNION YOU STILL WOULD HAVE BEEN A CE3. WOULD HAVE KEPT YOUR PAY, WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A RAISE AND STILL HAVE GOTTEN A BONUS.I wonder where you are gonna go when the union is voted in! You STATE we shouldleave..I THINK YOU SHOULD LEAVE. Please stop trying to delay the cause..

When NCR Corp. last year hired a new CEO, William Nuti, who lives in New York's suburban Long Island, directors inserted a clause into his contract under which they can fire him with cause if he and his family don't relocate to the company's Dayton, Ohio, headquarters by Aug. 1. Until then, NCR pays for Mr. Nuti's weekly commute on a corporate jet.

I don't get why all you guys who pound on the company because you hate the working conditions, hate the pay, hate the managemnt, hate the benefits, hate the pension and think you're getting screwed left and right - then why do you work here? I'm not trying to be a wise guy, I'm asking a serious question. If you honestly believe everything you read and say above why haven't you gone to work somewhere else? It doesn't make sense. If you think a union is going to change the company to any material degree you're kidding yourself. You have much more to lose than you think you may gain.

THE ONLY THING THAT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE HERE IS YOU. YOU NARROW MINDED IDOIT. HOW CAN YOU SIT THERE AND WRITE WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT WHAT JUST HAPPENED TO YOU.

UPPER MANAGEMENT GOT THEIR RAISES BOTH WHEN NCR WAS NOT MAKING MONEY AND EVEN MORE WHEN NCR WAS MAKING MONEY! SO IF WE MADE MONEY THE PAST 2 YEARS WHY HIT US TWICE IN 3 YEARS. JUST DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. LET VOTE IN THIS UNION AND REGAIN SOME CONTROL OF OUR OWN DESTINY. WE JUST MIGHT CONVINCE THIS COMPANY TO TURN BACK THE CLOCKS AND GIVE US OUR SELF RESPECT BACK IF THEY THINK THAT WE HAVE THEY POWER TO CRIPPLE THEM WITH A JOB ACTION. THE ONLY WAY POSSIBLE IS TO VOTE IN THE UNION. MY CARD IS ALREAY SIGNED, SEALED AND DELIEVERED.

What will joining the Union do for CE's who were brought over from FLT and are paid below NCR's starting wage. I make $14.65 an hour now. I have 30 years of experience as a CE in the repair field. I used to make $20.00 plus an hour before the layoff at another company. Why am I here? There are not a lot of jobs out there for a 58 year old, even if experienced.

What will the union do? it will do nothing that the company doesn't agree with. working out a contract is a two way agreement.... or not. I suggest you ask the union what they think they'll do for you. you'll get the same old rhetoric. you'll have a voice. If you think times are hard now, wait til you are walking a pickett line for pennies. judging from all the crap I've seen on this blog, the union may not want the caliber of people you've all shown yourselves to be. but, then again, maybe they want people who don't do such a great job of thinking things through.

"same old rhetoric"
That right, we will have a voice and people like you will have to shut up and listen for a change. The people on this blog are all hard working and honest people. They only want what they deserve for their selfs and their family's.

Nutty Nuti doesn't know what honesty is. When he took the CEO position at NCR he signed an agreement that he would move to Dayton. Well, not only has he not yet moved to Dayton but now he is moving the executive office of NCR to New York. He is thumbing his nose at all of us. So I would say that you my friend are a poor judge of character.

We as CE's only have one choice.
That is to form a UNION now!
Whats wrong with making decent wages?
Do you want to be poor? Struggling from pay check to pay check?

They are stealing over $250 a week from me! And how about you? How much are they stealing from you? The young ones on board, they wont steal from you because you wages will never get to a point to be stealable.

Vote UNION!

You ask what a union will do for you.. Lets see.. I have been in a union now for 23 year. Never striked. I always got a pay raise. I make $32 an hour. I bet you were not before this company screwed you. oh yeah. did I mention that I get more for availability pay than you. What else, lets see...I get to go home after 4 hours OT if I want. They call that downtime. I get to shut my phone and rim for 8 hours after working any 12 hours in a 24 hour period. What else you ask, I guess the best part of it all is that I get treated with the same kindness that I give my boss. Lets not forget about all the brothers I have in 3 regions. I love the holiday parties. The union has one yearly. The also have a close of summer picnic. Remember the days when NCR showed you that they care. Thats all gone. And why you ask. So Bill and the boys can buy luxuries that we only dream of. So that what my union does for me. To some that's nothing special, TO ME ITS PRICELESS!!!

We sould be going to the NLRB soon. and then its on to the VOTE. Any west coast guys and gals who are reading this the time has come where we need to stand together and vote yes on the UNION,

Not sure of what the legalities are to allow us to publicly display our contract . The company has rights also. I think have an agreement that prevents us from showing the non-union guys the contract. And now you know why. We have something called a me to clause which has the company give us anything that a non union employees get but it does not go the other way. But I guess the IBEW can contact the Teamsers if they have any question. You guys can also ask here. Sorry. I know its sounds like a copout but It is what it is. A CONTRACT..

Why not design your own contract (it's called an Agenda)
We in NYC don't need things like Surf Boards & Tanning Lotion!

It seems like NCR has already implemented their Agenda (all 30% of it)

You should start a "Pool" for the first Region to file for an Election with the NLRB!

I'm beginning to think that it WON"T be New England!

30% for Cheat-le
40% for MY FAMILY!

100% Sure that I don't need a UNION!

Its not just CE;s the company treates like dirt...
"NCR boss axes Dundee factory workers via video message
Bill Nuti, president and chief executive of bank machine makers NCR – who was paid £2 million last year – couldn’t find the time to tell his staff that their jobs were being axed. So he had a film made of himself breaking the news.

Before playing the tape, bosses called police to the NCR factory in Dundee.

The workers, who have an average of 20 years service each, looked on in dismay at a mass meeting.

Peter Gow, aged 62, said, “This whole escapade has been terrible. Everyone is totally shattered.”

Zena Ireland, who also lost her job at Dundee’s Timex factory in the 1990s, said, “The announcement came as a huge shock to a lot of people. If they’d been up-front with us from the start we could have prepared for the future.

“As it is, most people have been left in the lurch with mortgages to pay and kids to feed. It’s disgusting the way a very loyal workforce has been treated by management.”

Bruce said, “There were grown men who have served that company far longer than me crying their eyes out. But the management didn’t look like they could be bothered.”

Another worker, George, said, “The cheek that he had to do it by video shows how shoddy this company is.

“They treated a workforce who have shown years and years of loyalty with complete disdain and it’s all to do with making a fast buck.”

NCR brought in some £3.1 billion of revenue in 2005."

I totally understabd why you guys in NEW YOrk cant let the non union workers see your contract. Just a thought. I spoke to my Union contact here on the west coast and was told that the ball is in our court. All hell is going to break loose in the next couple of weeks. Maybe sooner. I just hope that everyone here will stand together and vote yes on the union.
